Hitari Risk Managers gives insurers, sureties, financiers and public-sector employers verified, independent intelligence from the construction sites they cover — before a guarantee is issued, while the works are live, and when they close out.
Pre-coverViability, pricing and contractor track record before risk is taken on
In-coverProgramme-versus-performance reporting and exposure management while the project is live
Post-coverGuarantee redemption and a formal close-out record when works end
Who we are
An effective bridge in the information divide.
Hitari Risk Managers was established to close the gap between risk-solution providers and the construction sites they cover.
Providers of risk-mitigation financial products are often not fully informed about progress and challenges on the sites where they carry exposure. Without prevailing site performance information, they cannot anticipate unfolding risk scenarios or put mitigating measures in place.
Providers also need to establish whether a project is profitable before offering cover. With its depth of experience in pricing construction projects, Hitari helps them decide with confidence whether to extend their full suite of products and services to a prospective client.
80+years of combined experience
3stages of cover served

Who we serve
Wherever construction risk is carried.
Hitari works for the parties who hold exposure on a project — whether that exposure sits in a guarantee, a policy, a loan or a public budget.
State-owned enterprises and the public sector
South Africa's SOEs and public-sector employers commission some of the country's largest and most scrutinised construction programmes. They carry substantial guarantee exposure, procure under strict legislation, and answer to Parliament, Treasury and the public when projects slip. Hitari gives these employers an independent line of sight into contractor performance, contract compliance and financial health — reported in formats that stand up to audit.
